A Spring Wedding // Tom & Alanna // Manor House Lindley
Spring weddings are magical, and when it comes to venues, Manor House in Lindley offers an enchanting backdrop that elevates the entire experience. As a wedding photographer, its modern elegance and charm provides a myriad of opportunities to capture stunning, timeless images.
The Venue’s Charm and Ambiance
Manor House in Lindley, with its luxurious interiors and picturesque garden, sets the stage for breathtaking wedding photography. The venue combines both indoor and outdoor settings that are equally photogenic. In spring, the blooming flowers and lush greenery add an extra layer of beauty, making it the perfect season to capture vibrant and romantic wedding photos.
Creating a Shot List: Working closely with Alanna and Tom, I understood their preferences and must-have shots. Key moments we planned for included:
- Bride & bridesmaid preparation in the opulent bridal suite.
- Groom and groomsmen preparation in the outdoor area.
- Ceremony shots in the luxurious bespoke ceremony room.
- Candid moments during the cocktail hour in the stylish bar area & outdoor area if the weather was good.
- Family group shots
- Golden hour portraits in the garden.
- The ‘WOW’ bar shot
Most of all, Tom and Alanna knew they loved my ‘documentary’ style and so it was hugely important for me to capture the laughter and joy of their big day.
Pre-Wedding Preparations
Bridal Suite Moments: The day began with Alanna and her bridesmaids getting ready in the stunning bridal suite. The natural light streaming through the large windows illuminated their excited and emotional moments. I focused on capturing candid shots of laughter, shared glances, and the intricate details of preparation—the touch of a makeup brush, the fastening of a dress, and the gentle embrace of friends.
Groom’s moments: Tom and his groomsmen prepared at home and arrived at Manor House in good time for the final touches. The camaraderie and lighthearted banter provided plenty of opportunities for some awesome shots. I captured the adjusting of ties, and the playful moments that showcased their bond.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in Manor House’s ‘Coach House’ with the rooms stunning modern decor providing a perfect backdrop. As Alanna walked down the aisle, I focused on capturing the raw emotions—Tom’s tear-filled eyes, Alanna’s radiant smile, and the guests’ expressions of joy. The exchange of vows was intimate and heartfelt, and my candid shots reflected the sincerity of their promises.
Drinks Reception and Candid Guest Moments
Spring weddings are full of spontaneous, joyful interactions. During the drinks reception in the garden, guests mingled, laughed, and enjoyed the vibrant blooms and lush greenery. I roamed discreetly, capturing shots of laughter, embraces, and the small but significant interactions that made the day unique. These photos showcased the genuine happiness and love shared among friends and family.
Portraits
For the couple’s portraits, I encouraged Tom and Alanna to interact naturally in the garden at Manor House. The lush greenery, soft sunset and charming pathways provided a beautiful setting. Instead of posing them too much, I asked them to walk, talk, and simply enjoy each other’s company. The resulting images showcased their genuine emotions and deep connection in a candid and authentic way.
Their wedding was a celebration of love in its purest form, set against the enchanting backdrop of Manor House in spring. It was an honour to be a part of their special day and to capture the moments that made it truly unforgettable.
